Meeting Synopsis

Coach Nate started by explaining his approach to training and running practices and meets. He touched briefly on his idea that he hopes parents will be their children's champions while encouraging them to advocate for themselves and develop relationships with the coaches. He described the meet sign up process briefly. We will review that in depth at a later date.

I followed up with practice procedures and an orientation to the website. I emphasized that the website, glenwoodparkpiranhas.swimtopia.com, is our central hub for our team information. Please see this slide: 5.2.22 Parent Meeting with links to the most important pages on the site. Please set up an account if you have not done so already, as the swimtopia site will be the central hub for our team all season!

Please review the practice policies: https://glenwoodparkpiranhas.swimtopia.com/practice-policies. If you’re skimming through it, don’t miss the last section on parking for the pool! Parking directly across from the entrance is restricted to pool members and condo residents.

Recent FAQ

• Regarding suit orders: I will check tomorrow to be sure, but I believe orders received by April 30 will be sent to me and then I will organize their distribution.
• Regarding caps: We're ordering the cool white Piranhas caps soon, and they will be here for the first meet. There’s no charge for these! Meanwhile, long-haired children may appreciate having their hair in a cap for practices.These are usually found at sporting goods stores and possibly Target, and of course, online stores.
• To access the pool, if you are not a pool member, as you arrive for your practice any member will let you in. If you are late or you are a member who forgot your fob, you may call the parents whose numbers are listed on this page: https://glenwoodparkpiranhas.swimtopia.com/poolaccess. Please note that you cannot access this page unless you are logged into your account. That is to provide some privacy for the parents who have offered to help with this.
