Thanks for a great meet Tuesday night! We had an awesome team of swimmers and volunteers for the night. I know some of you faced some bad traffic getting to Smoke Rise and kids were disappointed they could not use the slide, but I hope by the end of the night you felt better. 

Ribbons

We found out that the ribbons we received from the pool Tuesday night were incompletely printed. We have redone them and they will be in your folders at practice today. We did not realize that until we gave out the ribbons yesterday. We are sorry about that, but please reassure any disappointed swimmers that their ribbons will be available today.

Next week news

The season is moving along swiftly, and we will participate in the 3rd meet of the season next Tuesday, night, June 14. Please declare your swimmer by Friday night at 11 PM. Here are two things you need to know:

First thing: We will be swimming against the Decatur Gators and the Avondale Tidal Waves. This meet will NOT take place at Inman Park as originally scheduled, as they have elected not to have meets this year and ASA was not informed of this until recently. The Gators have graciously agreed to host us in their meet with the Tidal Waves. The NEW location is Ebster Pool, 440 W Trinity Pl, Decatur, GA 30030. Please note, this is a tri meet (3 teams instead of 2). A tri meet will go a little longer, so please plan accordingly. This meet could go as late as 10 PM. If you would prefer to leave a bit earlier, please indicate this in the notes section when you declare your swimmer. We can make sure your kids are done by half time (after backstroke) or after breast stroke. Please declare by Friday!! This should be a lively night!

Second thing: Martha will be out of town next week! We have Dana Xavier Dojnik on deck to handle the communication for the meet, so you will receive messages and reminders from her. If you have become a seasoned volunteer for swim meets, it would be super helpful if you can volunteer for the same role next week, which will help the meet run smoothly. We will definitely need the usual roles filled: bullpen parents, timers, deck manager, place judges and master recorder, computer person, etc. Coach Nate will make sure you know where to go and what to do!
