Meet #2 Tonight

Hello!

Attached are the heat sheet and lane writers docs for tonight.

Please look them over to see what your child is swimming tonight. Use the lane writers sheet to try to mark up your swimmer in advance. Of course there will be people at the pool to assist if you're not clear how to do this!

For younger children, durable toys, cards, crafts that you can put together/take apart can be really helpful. I recommend avoiding keeping screens out of the mix.

We need all the help we can get, so stand by to assist with relays or jump into a job if you aren't signed up for one!

Jobs: We may still need people to take on roles tonight. I haven't checked the job list since I sent the list of available jobs yesterday. But certain things won't happen if we don't have sufficient support (like part 2 of the meet if the Piranhas don't have the timers), and so if you're not joining us on deck or in the bullpen, we could all benefit if you reconsider.

Weather: Bring umbrellas and rain gear. If it rains, the meet goes on. If there's lightning/thunder, we follow the 30 minute wait rule, and that restarts every time thunder/ lightning recur. Head coaches (Nate and the Stingrays head coach, Ryan) collaborate on the decision about when to call it off if the thunder keeps on clapping. Unfortunately part of summer swim season is the occasional rain on our parade.

Thank you everyone!! See you tonight at 5. Everyone concentrate on good weather vibes. We need 'em!

See you soon,

Martha
