Meet #2 and other business

Hello Parents,

Meet #1 is in the books! Great work to all the swimmers, coaches, parents and volunteers. Lindmoor Woods was a fantastic host and they thought our families were wonderful and appreciated that we cleaned up our seating and bullpen areas after the meet.

Declare for Meet #2

Please declare your swimmers no later than Friday, May 29, by 5pm for Meet #2 against the Avondale Tidal Waves at the Avondale Swim and Tennis Club, 51 Dartmouth Avenue. The details about this meet location will be sent out once the meet closes.

Popsicles

If your swimmers are enjoying the popsicles from the freezer at the Glenwood Park Pool, please consider donating a box. Please make sure your swimmers are not taking more than one at each practice so other swimmers have a chance to enjoy them.

Glenwood Park

Last week, Glenwood Park sent out this message to their members and asked that it be shared with swim team families. Please make sure to review. They also wished the team good luck this season!

New Water Squirter Rule

Effective immediately, water guns, squirters, and anything that squirts water is no longer allowed in the pool. This is due to an unfortunate incident over the weekend where a child was using a powerful squirter to spray the windows and walls of the condo building, disturbing the residents and potentially causing damage to the walls and moldings.

Respectful Parking of Cars and other Vehicles

Please do not park bikes, scooters, motorcycles, etc. in front of the elevators or doors to the building. Also, please follow the parking regulations as outlined in our rules and regulations and as marked throughout the neighborhood. In recent days we have seen people parked in yellow and red no parking zones and fire lanes, and in the resident alley. Don’t ruin your pool day by getting ticketed or towed!

Rule/Behavior Violations

It is our hope that members will be respectful of the pool and of other members, and that parents will manage their children’s behavior. Members who see rules being broken or unsafe behavior occurring can ask the attendant to intervene. If a member or their child causes damage to the pool, including breaking equipment, damaging the building, or causing the pool to be contaminated with glass, fecal matter, etc, they may be subject to a fine.
